Ssssss….there’s a lot of ess sounds going on lately.  Well, here’s what we’ve been up to for the past few days:

March 28th, 2010 · View Comments

Happy Spring, everyone!  I hope all of you are enjoying the gorgeous weather we’ve been having.  As always, we like to take our enjoyment to a higher elevation.  Yesterday, instead of hitting up the slopes on a busy Saturday at the resort, we decided to go for a hike in the back country. Here is [...]

Nut Butter, Snow and Sparkly Dresses

March 8th, 2010 · View Comments

One of my staples I’ve been enjoying lately is this yummy green papaya salad.  Some of you might remember it from One Week Raw.  I don’t think I ever get tired of the crunchy veggies with the almond butter sauce, and it stays good in the fridge for a long time.

Its such a simple recipe [...]

I knew a long time ago that being out in nature was something that was required in my life in order for me to be happy.  I am just so lucky in that I have found someone else that shares my same requirement.  It’s really no surprise that we spend so much time enjoying outdoor [...]

How I’ve Been Spending My Time

January 29th, 2010 · View Comments

This past week brought Utah the best snow we’ve had all season.  And it all happened around my birthday!  My husband gave me a wonderful gift!

It’s the 2010 Arbor Cadence board, and its a huge upgrade from the board that I had previously.  It rides like a dream!

Good in the powder as well as the [...]

Thank You Snowlist!

January 14th, 2010 · View Comments

I joined Snowlist, a local, online community based in Utah about a year ago.  I originally joined in an attempt to sell my snowboarding jacket (still for sale!)  This Tuesday I realized that Snowlist had more to offer than just a site to exchange outdoor products.  Monday night, I entered a contest for a free [...]

All Out of Probars!!

November 15th, 2009 · View Comments

Some of you might remember that I came home to an extraordinary amount of Probars after our Costa Rica excursion.  Well, I finally did it.  All of my Probars are gone!  I’m still waiting for my next shipment, *nudges Probar*.  I ate my last bar while doing something that I LOVE to do:  Snowboarding!
It seems [...]

XC Skiing

March 6th, 2009 · View Comments

I’m convinced that this is one of the most perfect forms of exercise, yet I don’t do it nearly enough.  Lately, cross country skiing is an activity that we try to take on at least once a week, depending on the weather conditions.  Don’t get me wrong, I love my snowboarding.  If its a powder [...]
