Oranges in Spanish are called naranjas.  As you can see, Costa Rican oranges look very different from ones you find in the United States.  The outside is greenish brown and the color varies throughout the peel.  In contrast to the perfectly orange color, these found in Costa Rica are not very attractive.

This is perhaps my favorite green smoothie recipe ever!  I made it up today, with ingredients that I had laying around the kitchen.  As it turns out, this method of food preparation seems to be a great of getting those creative juices flowing.  Here are the ingredients:
