Juicing…What NOT to Do.

So, we decided to experiment a little bit with our carrot apple ginger blend yesterday.  Nothing wrong with a little playing around, right?  Right.  Unless, you decide to experiment by throwing in a *whole* chili pepper into the mix.  Can you say Raw Tabasco?  Ugh.

It actually wouldn’t be too bad, if you used it like Tabasco.  Maybe add a little apple cider vinegar or lemon juice to help it keep for several weeks.  But, if you’re thinking you want a nice, tall glass of refreshing juice, please refrain from adding whole chili peppers.  I wanted to add an extra zip.  Next time, I’ll cut off a tiny amount and just use that.

    i think i overdid the pepper action today too. on my kale chips. i have way too many peppers that i have to find recipes for.
  • Oooh nachos sound fun. Maybe I can add some of it to corn chips. But not TOO much. ;) Did you grow the peppers this year?
  • yep. some grew better than others. i ended up with a ton of ho chi minh peppers. i had to dehydrate a bunch of them.
