$40 Worth of Food and Moab Celebrations

October 23rd, 2009 · View Comments

Here is our haul from the last Farmer’s Market of the season!

Several large bags of greens, 5lbs of potatoes, onions, squash, apples, and even a kombucha.

Some tasty stuff, right there.  It should keep us well fed for a while.  I wish there was a year round Farmer’s Market here.  Going back to regular grocery stores feels kind of weird.

On a different note, Joe and I celebrated ourd 2nd wedding anniversary in beautiful Moab!

We had a great time mountain biking after the rain stopped.  ;)

I had my first experience riding the infamous Slickrock Trail.

I was so proud of myself for doing this.  This trail has always sounded so scary to me before.  I think by next year, I’ll be able to do the whole thing!  On a different trail, I was getting into the swing of things and got a bit too sure of myself.  What resulted was a collision of rock and the right side of my body, mostly my elbow.  Now I’ve got a huge gash, lots of bruises, scratches and sore muscles everywhere!

Crashing was horrible, but I’m sure glad that I had the experience, still.  I know a bit more about myself and I can learn from my mistakes.  My sweet husband took good care of me, too.

Is there any wonder why I married this guy?  ;)
